“Fuck You, Don’t Pay Me” is a story about proverbial currencies told via an attempt to trace the “fuck you pay me” mantra from hip hop, to underworld employment, to art world precarity, to friendship, intimacy, and the internet. It makes an undeservedly spicy case for reconsidering the need to be paid for everything. As such, unsure if it will get me cancelled.
